The Allison Garner Sportsmanship Award is an honor that NWGHA bestows upon an individual, 19 years of age or younger, who displays the epitome of sportsmanship that was such an authentic quality of the late Allison Garner. Allison was taken from us at the tender age of sixteen in 2007. In her memory, NWGHA has dedicated this annual award to her. Throughout the show year, we accept nominations for our youth who embody the spirit that our young Allison possessed, with a willingness to lend a helping hand, a caring shoulder, or uplifting words of encouragement.
This award, awarded annually, is a commemoration and dedication to a beautiful young spirit that slipped away silently to live with God. Through her loving words, caring arms, and selfless encouragement, she was the embodiment of true sportsmanship. We dedicate this award to Allison Garner. We will always love you, strive to be like you, and miss you.
