What & Where?

The 3-day State Show is held at the Georgia Agricenter in Perry, GA on Labor Day Weekend. The show starts on Saturday and runs through Monday evening. Participants start to arrive on Friday at the Agricenter. Each year this show brings in over 100 horses and over 3000 people. Vendors are on site with horse trailers, tack, art, souvenirs, and other miscellaneous equine and people items.

There are other events being held at the Agricenter that you may want to see as well such as dog shows. The Reeves Arena is the main show arena in the coliseum It is air-conditioned and has great seating for viewing. The practice arena is covered. So, rain or shine, the facility is excellent for showing off you and your equine’s talents and hard work. The whole atmosphere is family friendly and energized.

Some people come to watch, some come to participate, some come to buy equipment, and some people come to sell/buy prospective horses. Just take a walk around and see what you may find. NWGHA holds a Friday night party in order to distribute information, answer questions, and iron out any problems that may be occurring with its competitors.
